3A & 3B PERSPECTIVE & PROJECTION

MONDAY & FRIDAY, JULY 27 & 31, 2009

PERSPECTIVE & PROJECTION

This assignment issued was to sketch cubes on ONE POINT Perspective and Projection.

One Point Perspective cubes

Projection cubes

The other piece was to combine the sarong drawn with Perspective and Projection cubes.
This is my sketch of cubes with sarong modal.

We were also asked to write a 100words story about the cubes, and this is how mine goes:

The Cubes Are Not Just the Cubes
On the first sheet, the cubes are seen as 6 sided solid cubes above and on the horizon line. The cubes have defined borders and thus, one can feel the concreteness.
On the second sheet, the cubes have evolved from solid 6 sided into 4 or 5 sided cuboids boxes. Spaces are now created in between their shape, allowing air and sunlight to come in touch partially.
On the third sheet, the cubes go transparent and translucent before the Sarong. They allow sunlight to penetrate them, leaving a border defined by the shadow shone on the sarong.
The similar cubes in similar perspective come in different shape and space. They are not just a simple cube.
